Habitat for Hounds Animal Rescue provide's a Humane Education program for students grades K through 12. Our goals are to teach children/teenagers the basic's of responsible pet care, dog safety, humane treatment, and most importantly compassion and kindness for other living things. One of our Humane Officers, accompanied by one of our volunteers will share their message with students. With permission from the school we will also bring a specially selected pet along.

If you would like to make a reservation at your school please give us at least a one month notice to accommodate your request. Providing multiple dates to choose from will make it easier for both you and our volunteers to coordinate one that suits you both.

  • We must see a minimum of 20 students to travel to your facility.

  • Teachers must stay in the room and monitor the behavior of the students.

  • One visiting dog can visit up to three classrooms per day for petting with no more than 25 students per classroom.

  • We prefer to visit individual classrooms

Tuition for a presentation or assembly at your school is at least one item per student from our Donation Drive list. These items are used to provide for the animals in our rescue network as well as the No Empty Bowls Program.

Please contact us to register.
